Again, with the damn details

I’ll admit it. I am a Star Wars fanatic.

Ever since the first movie in ’77, I have been intrigued with the story and special effects. A few years ago, Disney bought the rights to the Star Wars world from Lucas Films.

Now they are making the movies into a themed land at The Disney Studio’s called Galaxies Edge. It does not open until 8/29 of this year, but already the frenzy over droids, Stormtroopers, light sabre’s and spaceship laser fights is at full throttle.

Disney already has a disclaimer on its’ website that “all attractions may not be available due to guest demand (aka CROWDS).

But what I want to point out is that in true Disney-fashion, they have gone “all-in” on the details.

Remember in the first movie, when Luke was having lunch with his aunt and uncle? They were drinking a blue milk. Well, you can quench your thirst with a cup of Batuu’s legendary blue or green treat, served frozen at the park.

They have even teamed up with Coke, who has been a partner at Disney for decades, to design bottles with other-world symbols and reimagined the bottle design.

The bottles are designed to look like BB8 from the latest trilogy.

Disney has thought of every detail and has IMPLEMENTED those details!

I think a lot of these bottles will end up UNOPENED and sitting on a shelf at home.

Not that you need another reason to go to Disney, but here it is. Collector Soda bottles!

They will become a daily reminder of a family’s trip to Disney World and a constant reminder to visit Disney again! What an evil, brilliant plan!

Details, details, details. I reveal the secrets of how Disney implements my book and program Systematic Magic. Disney is all about the details.

This all started with Walt, who said “Even if no one else notices, I will notice“. No detail is ever overlooked.

So, how can you use this in your business? Great question, glad you asked.

What themed toys / products can you give to your customers or patients that they will put on a shelf or stick on the refrigerator and immediately remember you?

In my carpet cleaning business, we trade them a can of our spot remover for the crap they have under the kitchen sink. Everytime they get a spot, they grab my stuff.

I also leave a fridge magnet with ounces, cups conversions for baking. It is a useful tool and it reminds them of us.

How about you? What do you do?

Send me your best idea that you use in your business, and I will choose one. The winner will get a $10 Amazon gift card.
