Off to see the Wizard(s)
Tomorrow, I will be flying out to Denver to attend the GKIC Info-Summit where I will get to hang out with some of the smartest and richest marketers on the planet.
Of course I will be there to hear Dan Kennedy, who has been instrumental in the success of both my carpet cleaning business and my Disney-Way Marketing consulting business.

Not only will I be there to learn more advanced marketing tactics, catch up with marketing experts who I have not seen since last year’s event but I will be there with a Plan to Make My Business More Profitable. I see this as an investment in myself. And I always invest with a plan.
When was the last time you invested in yourself to improve your lot in life? Did you know that almost 33% of the US population will never read a book after High School and 42% of college grads will never read another book (Pew Research). No wonder our nanny state government needs to watch out for most of the US population. Hell, if you just invest in a business or self help success book, you will be ahead of 70% of the population.
Many of the great success thought leaders mandate that in order to succeed in business and in life, you need to begin by investing in yourself. Recently I was listen to Darren Hardy, CEO of Success, who said that Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar and Brian Tracy all have one thing in common… Requiring their protégés to invest in themselves. A minimum of 10% of their annual income.
But I digress… Back to my Plan…
I have already set my goals for this event and plan to meet with some of the speakers. I have my script rehearsed and even in one case have a secret hand shake to get past the gate keeper. This is the same thing I do before every networking event I attend locally. I make a plan to meet specific people or number of people to increase my sphere of influence.
I plan to meet at least 6 of the speakers and have 2 invite me to speak at their events.
You do have a plan… right?
Look… The end of the year is only 58 days away. So let me help you end the year with a BIG BANG and not a thud. Make the last 2 months of the year the most productive and profitable you can and squeeze every last bit out of the time left.
- Right now, this very instant, go write down 3 goals for the rest of the year. They can be small, personal, financial, spiritual, whatever, just write them down.
- Now, under each goal, write down 3 things you need to do to achieve those goals. Who do you need to meet? What do you need to buy? Where do you need to go? What skill do you need to master? Who’s help will you need?
- Finally, write down what it will mean to you if you achieve that goal. How will your life be different / better? What will achieving this goal mean to you once it is finished?
Now, get going and do it!
